Sanatsalbaski.com lets you buy the production of your work as an online print, in the format, size, presentation and quantity you choose.

The online printing service is a system based on uploading your works in digital format to a system and placing an order by choosing the paper for printing and one of various presentation options.

The print types at Sanatsalbaski.com are Fine Art/Photo printing, Canvas printing, Diasec printing, Poster printing and Portfolio printing.

For fine art and photo prints, Sanatsalbaski.com uses long-lasting, fade-free inks that maintain their colour and vividness for 120 years, used together with the UltraChrome-technology Epson Pro 20000 and Canon ProGraf Pro 4000 large-format printers. For poster and canvas prints, HP Latex inks are used.

Sanatsalbaski.com completes the on-screen work on calibrated monitors with the appropriate paper profiles before moving to the printing stage. Our customers are extremely satisfied with the colours we achieve in printing.

Sanatsalbaski.com makes all prints at 1440 dpi and above, with an 8- or 12-colour ink system. This high resolution and wide ink range provide a wider colour universe and produce sharper, more detailed prints.

Resolution is a term that describes how much detail an image has. The higher the resolution, the more information the image contains. When talking about a digital image, saying its resolution is 1600x1200 px means the image has 1600 horizontal and 1200 vertical colour dots (pixels). More dots (pixels) means higher resolution. For example, an 8”x10” image at 300 pixels per inch has a higher resolution than an 8”x10” image at 150 pixels per inch (dpi: dots per inch).

Pixel is short for “picture element”. It is the smallest dot that can be displayed on a computer screen. Dots per inch (dpi) and pixels per inch (ppi) are sometimes used interchangeably. However, for printers the two have different meanings.

After your order, Sanatsalbaski.com carefully checks your images for print suitability. If your image breaks up (pixelates) when brought to the size you requested, it runs trials with software that applies a “professional upscaling algorithm” to fix this. The software, with 3-4 hours of processing, gives a successful result in most cases. If the problem persists after processing for reasons such as file size or colour saturation, it recommends that you send a larger version of the image or choose an alternative image if possible. If you prefer not to, your money is refunded.

TIFF vs. JPEG JPEG comes from the initials of a group called the “Joint Photographic Experts Group” and is a lossy file format. “Lossy” is a term used to describe a mathematical operation that produces a smaller file that is not identical to the original. Each time an image is saved in JPEG format, the information it contains is compressed, and when the image is reopened it is reconstructed based on this compressed data. Losses occur in the original data at these stages. For these reasons, JPEG is suitable for saving the final version of an image but is not a preferred format for editing an image.

TIFF is short for “Tag Image File Format”. Because it is lossless, flexible and editable, it is one of the most frequently used formats for digital images. Using tags, it can hold multiple images and data in a single file. Suitable for images with high colour depth, this format is also supported by image-editing programs such as Photoshop and GIMP.

Sanatsalbaski.com primarily prefers the TIFF format for printing. If possible, a file shot in the most flexible formats such as RAW/DNG and processed and saved as TIFF gives the most accurate result. We can put your images that were saved this way and have not lost data or been damaged through an efficient calibration process by adding our paper profiles.

The Sanatsalbaski.com web server can accept files up to 200 MB. If you want to send a larger file, you can send it using our “Get a Custom Quote” form under the products menu, or via free cloud services (such as wetransfer.com, dropbox.com, Google Drive), or to info@sanatsalbaski.com.

To be able to make prints from your images in film format, you first need to convert them to digital format, that is, scan your films. To get this service, you can bring your film to our studio if you wish. For details you can write to info@sanatsalbaski.com.

A print-ready file is a digital file you have prepared to be printed in the Sanatsalbaski.com system. For your files to be accepted as print-ready, they must meet the following conditions: •Colour mode must be RGB and colour space Adobe RGB 1998 •Output size must be 100-300 dpi •Must be 8 bit and contain no layers •Must be in highest-quality JPEG or uncompressed TIFF format •File name must contain at most 30 characters

Fine art printing is the printing technique most suited to museum-quality, long-lasting artwork prints, made on special, acid-free, 100% cotton-based papers.

Fine art papers are special papers that are acid-free, 100% cotton-based, around 300 grams, long-lasting, allow museum-quality printing, and are rated for a lifespan of 100-150 years when appropriate humidity and temperature conditions are met. Thanks to their wide gamut (the range of colours the human eye can see), realistic and vivid prints can be produced.

Canvas printing is the process of applying and reproducing a digital work onto canvas cloth/fabric using digital printing techniques.

Diasec printing (also known as diasec or acrylic sandwich) is an unusual, avant-garde photo printing system that gives a sharp-edged, clean and elegant look in presentation. In diasec printing the image, printed on glossy Ultra Glossy Photo paper, is placed on a 4 mm thick dibond plate and bonded to a 3 mm acrylic material with an elastic ultra-clear UV silicone, forming a sandwich. This creates a rigid, sturdy structure that does not flex. Diasec printing creates extra brilliance and a three-dimensional effect for the viewer. Reflection between the backing and the image is prevented, giving a glossy and elegant presentation.

Because diasec prints are produced on the sandwich principle with acrylic on the front and dibond material on the back, they are extremely sturdy, have a low risk of deformation and do not flex. Thanks to the clear acrylic on the front, extra brilliance and a three-dimensional effect give a glossy and elegant look.

The history of the modern poster, as we know it, dates back to the 1840s and 1850s, when the printing industry perfected colour lithography and made mass production possible. For many years this type of print was produced to be placed in public spaces for the temporary promotion of an idea, product or event; in the 1890s it spread to Europe and drew the attention of artists. The poster industry soon seeped into the art world through its use by many aspiring painters who needed a source of income to support themselves. Used for reproductions and wall decoration because of its low cost, poster printing today is frequently preferred, especially by new-generation artists, for limited editions.

A portfolio is all the material an artist uses to present their work. An artist can turn their work into a digital presentation file or prepare a printed portfolio file. Sanatsalbaski.com offers a portfolio printing option for anyone who wants to create & organise their portfolio. It offers two types of box in two sizes, A4 and A3, for your prints. You can order your prints in sets of 6, 12 or 18 in A4 size, or in sets of 3, 6 or 12 in A3 size, together with the box you choose.

A limited edition is a print made in a limited number determined by the artist. No more prints can be made afterwards. In limited editions, each copy (edition) is printed with a certificate and these certificates are signed by the artist. Each copy is numbered. For example, a copy numbered 10/150 is the 10th copy of a print limited to 150 copies. A limited edition guarantees the uniqueness of each copy.

An open edition is an unnumbered reproduction. An open edition of a painting or photograph is not printed in a predetermined number, but each copy can still be signed by the artist.

A certificate of authenticity comes with the artist's signature and states that each print copy was prepared to the same print standards and which number the print is out of the committed edition size. The certificate also documents which paper the print was made on and with what technique.

Preservation of print quality and the lifespan of the print vary according to display conditions, light intensity, humidity, atmospheric conditions and post-print processing. When stored in suitable conditions (40-60% relative humidity, 15-25 °C), the estimated lifespan is 100 years for fine art prints, 50-60 years for photo prints, and again around 10 years for poster and canvas prints.

You can keep fine art prints bright and sharp for more than 100 years by;

• avoiding direct sunlight as much as possible,
• not applying pressure especially to the front surface,
• never keeping them stacked on top of each other if they are not hung,
• not keeping them in constantly changing temperatures or damp environments (such as a bathroom or balcony),
• not hanging them above heaters such as radiators or stoves.

Prints should not come into contact with a wet or damp cloth and should not be treated with any material that would leave a stain or damage on the surface.

• In the module that opens after uploading, select your preferences step by step: sizing, print/product, paper type, presentation type and margin (if any).
• If you have a work outside the standard sizes listed in the sizing section, you can specify the short or long edge using the “custom size” fields under this step. The system automatically determines the other edge according to the aspect ratio of your image.
• When all your preferences are done, the price and three-dimensional overview of your product will be shown in the module. Also, if you want to see all options together or get general price information, you can visit the "Photo Printing Prices" page under the "Products" tab on our site.

To be able to track your order, after signing in to the system click the “order tracking” text in the menu.

Sanatsalbaski.com takes maximum care when packaging your order. All prints and presentations are packaged with protective tissue papers. Your prints in A4 and smaller sizes are packaged flat between protective boards, while all prints in larger sizes are sent in cardboard tubes. All frames and other presentations are placed in special cardboard boxes and the outside of all packages is wrapped in bubble wrap.

For shipping times: •Average Delivery Transit Times - for Türkiye: 2-3 days after production •Average Delivery Transit Times - for Continental Europe and Others: 3-7 days after production. Standard shipping (Türkiye) is 2-5 business days after printing, and 3-7 business days after printing for Continental Europe and other regions.

On the payment page you can indicate that your order is a gift and write a gift note at no extra charge.

When you receive a damaged order, you need to start the return process. To be able to return your order, you need to follow the shipment receipt steps below:

If Sanatsalbaski.com ships the wrong product, a technical problem occurs during production, or a visible problem originating from production arises, you have the right to return the product within 14 days. In such a case, please contact our customer representative to discuss the return conditions. In the case of an incorrect shipment, Sanatsalbaski.com bears the cost of the new shipment.

Sanatsalbaski.com takes great care in the production of each order and carefully packages orders so they are not damaged during shipping.

• It is your responsibility to check for damage when receiving the package.

• You open your order in front of the courier and, after checking for damage and problems in front of the courier, you can return it with the same courier if a problem is found.

• You can contact a Sanatsalbaski.com customer representative regarding the problem you experienced.

• Provided the rules described above are followed, Sanatsalbaski.com takes back the damaged product and issues a new shipment to you. Otherwise, Sanatsalbaski.com has no responsibility for the products.

In which cases the right of return does not apply.

However, for the situations listed below, you have no right of return, even if your prints or orders have not been used/benefited from by you:

• In situations arising from mistakes you made while creating the order (incorrect sizing, wrong print type selection, wrong paper selection, wrong frame selection and the like), Sanatsalbaski.com does not accept returns or exchanges. •It accepts no liability for pixelation, low resolution or low-quality digital image problems in the image used when creating the order, and in these situations Sanatsalbaski.com does not accept returns or exchanges. •Where exercise of the right of return is possible, any change or deterioration that occurs if, within the return period, you do not use the print in accordance with its operation, technical specifications and instructions for use is your responsibility. Accordingly, if there is a change or deterioration in your print because it was not used in accordance with its technical specifications and operation up to the return date, you may lose your right of return.

If Sanatsalbaski.com remakes your order, it makes a new shipment within 2-5 business days.

We ship to Continental Europe and other countries. After creating your standard order, you need to send us the address details. Our customer representative will work out a country-specific shipping price and inform you.
